Its the title of a cd by one of my fav bands - The Dave Matthews Band. I thought about it the other day when my little family and I were all hanging out in Isabelles 'fort' under the dining room table. She loves to go under the table, so I put a comforter and a big pillow under there for her, she seems quite pleased! Who knew 8 years ago when Gilles and I met that we would be doing such weird and wonderful things together. I really had fun under the table with them, funny eh? The little things we do together bring me so much joy. The other night, after several days of no sun but extreme humidity, we all went in the pool. I just threw on a Tshirt, and Isabelle went starkers! It must be so annoying to have a diaper on all day in this weather! She loves the pool, and she loves skinny dipping hehe. We had such a great time swimming around, Gilles chasing after Isabelle...her laughs and shrieks are music to my ears.
Ok, I LOVE summer, but this heat is killing me! Its awful being sticky all day! And yes, I know that in a few short months I'll be whining about the awful winter LOL. Thank goodness we have the pool so at least we can all hop in and cool off for a few minutes. I really hope to get some scrapping done this weekend, I haven't even started on my LCOM DT kit yet, and I can't wait to! Hopefully tomorrow I will be hanging out with Emily and Amanda too! Gilles is off to a skeetshooting competition, hope he does well! I was checking out Tim Holtzs blog this afternoon - OMG the new papers are Awesome! The vintage looking tags are my fav! Can't wait to see these IRL and hopefully pick some up! Same as the new stamps! I just want everything that he makes! I wish I had his talent and imagination! Well off to tend to my cranky baby LOL, I don't think this heat is doing much for her either, even with only a diaper on!
I adore this picture of Isabelle, look at those cheeks! I had it printed out 8x10 so we can frame it and hang it in the hall. My little beauty!!
I don't know how some people do it. People that have really sick children, or children with special needs, or just have a lot of kids. Isabelle only has an ear infection, and I am whining because I can't get her antibiotics into her, she just refuses to take it. I tried hiding it in pudding, that worked a few times but now she won't eat it...tried putting it in fruit, milk, even on her fishy crackers. I ended up having to hold he down and basically put it down her throat. She still managed to spit some out! Sometimes I feel like an awful Mother. To all the women out there that are Mothers, you are awesome. You certainly amaze me. I know so many of you that do SO much everyday, you are Super Women. I am so lucky that Isabelle is healthy and happy and smart and strong, even still...some days are hard. I feel like such a loser for complaining when I do. I feel like I should just be able to suck it up, get off my ass, and do what needs to be done. Well sometimes I can't. Sometimes we just stay home in our jammies and snuggle and nap and play on the floor. I just want her to get better. I am so not looking forward to the next dose of meds. I am glad though that she is still nursing because at least she is getting some fluids. Ah. My little hooligan. LOL So cranky and tough somedays, but SO worth every minute and tear.
I can't believe that Isabelle is already 1! The time really does fly by, and they really do just grow before your eyes. My little stinker had a small cake on Thursday, her real birthday, and tore into it, it was great! We just threw it out after that haha. On Sunday was the 'real' party for her and Gilles' 30th. There were so many people here, and Isabelle got some sweet gifts from our awesome friends and family! Especially Emily, who besides giving Isabelle 3 Dr Seuss books, also made her a canvas album with Dr. Seuss quotes, it was beautiful, I was crying!! Thank you so much to everyone who was able to make it! Glad we got the big cake, cause it was gone! We went to see Prince of Persia yesterday for Gilles birthday, it was awesome! Great action and comedy, and the special effects were really great, not cheesy. Another birthday coming up as well - LCOM!! I can't believe Tink has had the store for an entire year already! That mean I have been on the DT for 9 months! :O And I still love it! Thank you soooo much Tink for everything you do for us! You are one amazing woman! And now Tink is thanking our AWESOME customers too! The LCOM Online birthday bash begins tomorrow, Thursday, June 3rd, and goes until Sunday, June 6th. There will be fun with the Sketch team, challenges, prizes, laughs, a blog hop beginning Friday evening, and Liz Hicks from Tattered Angels will be stopping by the Forum to chat Saturday evening at 9pm! WOW!!!! Can't wait to 'see' you all this weekend!!!
