Its the title of a cd by one of my fav bands - The Dave Matthews Band. I thought about it the other day when my little family and I were all hanging out in Isabelles 'fort' under the dining room table. She loves to go under the table, so I put a comforter and a big pillow under there for her, she seems quite pleased! Who knew 8 years ago when Gilles and I met that we would be doing such weird and wonderful things together. I really had fun under the table with them, funny eh? The little things we do together bring me so much joy. The other night, after several days of no sun but extreme humidity, we all went in the pool. I just threw on a Tshirt, and Isabelle went starkers! It must be so annoying to have a diaper on all day in this weather! She loves the pool, and she loves skinny dipping hehe. We had such a great time swimming around, Gilles chasing after Isabelle...her laughs and shrieks are music to my ears.
Ok, I LOVE summer, but this heat is killing me! Its awful being sticky all day! And yes, I know that in a few short months I'll be whining about the awful winter LOL. Thank goodness we have the pool so at least we can all hop in and cool off for a few minutes. I really hope to get some scrapping done this weekend, I haven't even started on my LCOM DT kit yet, and I can't wait to! Hopefully tomorrow I will be hanging out with Emily and Amanda too! Gilles is off to a skeetshooting competition, hope he does well! I was checking out Tim Holtzs blog this afternoon - OMG the new papers are Awesome! The vintage looking tags are my fav! Can't wait to see these IRL and hopefully pick some up! Same as the new stamps! I just want everything that he makes! I wish I had his talent and imagination! Well off to tend to my cranky baby LOL, I don't think this heat is doing much for her either, even with only a diaper on!
I adore this picture of Isabelle, look at those cheeks! I had it printed out 8x10 so we can frame it and hang it in the hall. My little beauty!!
I don't know how some people do it. People that have really sick children, or children with special needs, or just have a lot of kids. Isabelle only has an ear infection, and I am whining because I can't get her antibiotics into her, she just refuses to take it. I tried hiding it in pudding, that worked a few times but now she won't eat it...tried putting it in fruit, milk, even on her fishy crackers. I ended up having to hold he down and basically put it down her throat. She still managed to spit some out! Sometimes I feel like an awful Mother. To all the women out there that are Mothers, you are awesome. You certainly amaze me. I know so many of you that do SO much everyday, you are Super Women. I am so lucky that Isabelle is healthy and happy and smart and strong, even still...some days are hard. I feel like such a loser for complaining when I do. I feel like I should just be able to suck it up, get off my ass, and do what needs to be done. Well sometimes I can't. Sometimes we just stay home in our jammies and snuggle and nap and play on the floor. I just want her to get better. I am so not looking forward to the next dose of meds. I am glad though that she is still nursing because at least she is getting some fluids. Ah. My little hooligan. LOL So cranky and tough somedays, but SO worth every minute and tear.
I can't believe that Isabelle is already 1! The time really does fly by, and they really do just grow before your eyes. My little stinker had a small cake on Thursday, her real birthday, and tore into it, it was great! We just threw it out after that haha. On Sunday was the 'real' party for her and Gilles' 30th. There were so many people here, and Isabelle got some sweet gifts from our awesome friends and family! Especially Emily, who besides giving Isabelle 3 Dr Seuss books, also made her a canvas album with Dr. Seuss quotes, it was beautiful, I was crying!! Thank you so much to everyone who was able to make it! Glad we got the big cake, cause it was gone! We went to see Prince of Persia yesterday for Gilles birthday, it was awesome! Great action and comedy, and the special effects were really great, not cheesy. Another birthday coming up as well - LCOM!! I can't believe Tink has had the store for an entire year already! That mean I have been on the DT for 9 months! :O And I still love it! Thank you soooo much Tink for everything you do for us! You are one amazing woman! And now Tink is thanking our AWESOME customers too! The LCOM Online birthday bash begins tomorrow, Thursday, June 3rd, and goes until Sunday, June 6th. There will be fun with the Sketch team, challenges, prizes, laughs, a blog hop beginning Friday evening, and Liz Hicks from Tattered Angels will be stopping by the Forum to chat Saturday evening at 9pm! WOW!!!! Can't wait to 'see' you all this weekend!!!
Well Happy (late) Mothers Day to all the Moms out there! I had a nice day with Gilles and Isabelle :) I woke up to breakfast being made for us - scrambled eggs, homemade hashbrowns, bacon and baked beans Mmmmmm! It was so good! We just hung around the house together, went out for a few groceries and bbq'd for supper, it was a nice day! And a great end to a fun weekend! This past weekend was the LCOM Spring Crop, and as usual, Tinkie did a fabulous job! I don't know how she does it all! Awesome food, great prizes, great challenges, great people, great sales at the store, and awesome goodie bags for each of us, handmade by Tink! I can't wait for the next one already!
Isabelle. Omg. She is growing up WAY too fast! It's crazy! I can't believe she will be a year old this month! She is sooo amazing! I love to just watch her, see her exploring her world, she is awesome! She is so smart, so funny, so beautiful! She has 7 teeth now, is drinking from her sippy cup much better, and still nursing! LOL I'm not sure how I will get her away from this, I love nursing her, and she loves it too!
Watching her with Shadow is too funny. She likes to lay on the floor and look at him under the coffee table, she thinks this is hilarious! She also likes to share all her food with him haha. No wonder he is always near her! No really, he seems to be quite protective of her. The other day she was coughing, and he ran over to make sure she was ok, then licked her face when he reallized everything was alright and left lol. He is pretty funny!
Do you spring clean? Ugh, I feel like there is SO much to do here and so much I need to go through and get rid of. We have only been here three years, ow did we accumulate so much?? Isabelle already has I don't know how many garbage bags full of clothes that don't fit her anymore that I really should go through and get rid of...there are a few things that I will keep though :)

Ok I haven't blogged for over a month! I didn't have my computer for over a week and a half as the hard drive died, that was not fun!
I sure missed my LCOM ladies when I was gone!! And there is SO much going on on the boards!! Lots of new members, which is awesome! Challenges galore - The 'So You Think You Can Scrap' Contest is in full swing, we are onto the week 3 challenge already! I was voted off in the second round, but I plan to continue the challenges because they are great! There is also the 'Random Hearts' challenge - Random challenges will be posted on the boards and you will earn 'Hearts' for completing each one, and the gal that gets 30 hearts wins! Plus the 52 Pickup Sketch challenge will be on all year - good for me as I haven't started yet! And I need to, they are some great sketches!!
The DT reveal is tomorrow, I have taken pics of my work (I need to learn to take better pics!!!) and just have to get off my tush and post them!
I can't wait til this weekend, its the LCOM Spring Crop Friday night and Saturday!!! I'm going with my scrappy gals Emily, Amanda, Kelly, Sheena and Linda :) I think I'll work on my February DT kit, and hopefully scrap some Valentines pics of Isabelle that I plan to take this week. I can't wait to have Tinks yummy food and see everyone!!
Isabelle is still moving around like crazy, trying to get herself into a standing position, its so cute. I know I'm going to have my hands full with her, she is always on the go! She is so determined! She is cutting her fourth tooth already, and I think it is bothering her a bit...she has had a hard time sleeping, and been a bit cranky, especially at night. I feel bad though, I can't imagine what it feels like to have those sharp little teeth cutting through your gums! I'm sure glad its something you forget!
Yesterday I went to Indigo to pick up my copy of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' - this months selection for the LCOM Book Club. I am on page 97, and I have thought several times about quitting reading it, not something I often do. I am finding the boring, and somewhat hard to follow. But I will keep with it, as I hear it gets better, and I don't like to not finish a book.
Off to spend some time with my little family on this beautiful sunny Sunday!
